Dinners
These are part of moku pona — meaning good food in toki pona — our twice-yearly dinner club. We host themed dinners that dig into a particular cultural topic or a moment in history, told through food and storytelling. Here are the last four.
Design
I'm an engineer and climate activist by trade, but I like making things with my hands! This is where those end up.

Privacy
What happens to your data when you visit this site or photos.danielpokras.com. The short version: no tracking, no analytics, no cookies.
- Responsible
Daniel Pokras, Badenerstrasse 123, 8004 Zürich, Switzerland — hello@danielpokras.com. This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, for visitors from the EU, the GDPR.
- What I collect
Nothing myself. There are no forms, accounts, comments, newsletters, analytics or tracking pixels on either site.
- Hosting
Both sites and their photographs are hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). Like any web host, Vercel's servers record technical data when a page is requested — your IP address, browser, the page and the time — to deliver the site and keep it secure. Vercel may process this data outside Switzerland, including in the USA. See Vercel's privacy policy.
- Fonts
This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google's servers and your IP address is sent to Google. See Google's privacy policy.
If you write to hello@danielpokras.com, your message passes through an email-forwarding service and is stored in a Google mailbox. I use it only to reply, and delete it when it's no longer needed.
- Cookies
Neither site sets cookies for visitors, and nothing is stored in your browser. That's why there is no cookie banner. The photo blog's sign-in page sets a single login cookie, used only by me to manage photos.
- Your rights
You can ask what data about you I hold, and have it corrected or deleted, by writing to the address above. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, to your local data protection authority.
